This article documents the changes when setting an application status to Complete in the Transformation Schedule.

Overview

Within AppScore, transformation or migration activities can be set against servers, databases and interfaces. This include actions like Rehost, Replatform etc. and a status such as Proposed, Planned etc.

In the Transformation Schedule, these activities can be marked as complete for applications or groups of servers. Once completed, AppScore will update the applications and servers. The effect of completing each type of activity is as per below.

NOTE: this action cannot be reversed and care should be taken when using it.

Rehost

• Transformation Date updates to Blank
• Transformation Activity updates to the application new 7R
• Transformation Status updates to Proposed
• When an application is added to a new move group or a move group is archived any manfully set status’s or activities are reset back to system aligned
• In Servers associated the field Data Centre updates to data previously held in Target Location
• In Servers associated the Matched Machine Type is cleared
• In Servers associated the Matched Machine Projected Monthly Cost is cleared
• In Servers associated the VM Host is cleared
• In Servers associated the field Current Number of Cores updates to values taken from Matched Machine type
• In Servers associated the field Current RAM updates to values taken from Matched Machine type
• In Servers associated the field Current Disk updates to values taken from Matched Machine type
• In Servers associated utilisation information (Peak and Average) for CPU is cleared
• In Servers associated utilisation information (Peak and Average) for RAM is cleared
• In Servers associated the field Type updates to values taken from Matched Machine type

  • AWS = EC2 VM 

  • Azure = Azure VM 

  • GCP = GCP VM 

  • Oracle = OCI VM 

Replatform

• Transformation Date updates to Blank
• Transformation Activity updates to the application to Retain
• Transformation Status updates to Proposed
